Alive
Alive is a deeply personal exploration of my journey as an artist. This piece represents the powerful evolution I’ve experienced as my artistic expression transformed through animation and AI.

The moment when the character’s eyes open—moving from stillness to life—captures the essence of my collaboration with artificial intelligence. Rather than replacing my role, AI becomes a co-creator, working alongside me to bring new forms of art into existence. Alive symbolizes the birthing of something new, a co-creation where technology enhances my vision and pushes the boundaries of traditional art.

This work speaks to the intimate process of growth, transformation, and collaboration. It’s an invitation to explore how art, technology, and humanity can coexist and create together.

I created "Aloha Spirit" as a way to process the emotions felt while vacationing in Waikiki—two weeks of beauty, warmth, and ocean rhythms, shadowed by the fires raging in Maui. As I swam and soaked in the island’s energy, others fled into the sea for survival. Tourists like me enjoyed paradise while just across the water, homes were lost, families displaced, and grief settled over the islands. A lei-adorned figure drifts through the waves, surrounded by tropical fish, lush flowers, and sun-drenched fruit—caught between joy and sorrow, presence and guilt. The music swells, carrying the weight of paradise and loss, a reminder of the fragile balance between celebration and tragedy.
